Buses
Its funny, I guess with me, i don’t post anything for ages, and then like buses, two come along at the same time.
I just wanted to explain a piece that went out a while ago, but apart from people at my shows, noone really knows the story behind this. Walter is my late Grandfather, he died around the age of 50 so I never knew him. From what I hear about him, he seems to be the closest to me (in character) out of any family member, perhaps because I don’t have a full picture. I seem to have a jigsaw image of him, with some of the pieces missing. The piece is more in homage to him, as a sort of half figment of my imagination, which is, I suppose, all he really can be. It is not a piece about me trying to “find him though music”, no way, but a piece about how i thought he might be. The piano I play it on is his and is now the one I write and record all my piano stuff on.
Just thought i’d explain to anyone who maybe interested.
